The developer, Ayako Sato, has put this endeavor into practice through exhibitions and projects in various regions, collecting these "memories of places" in books and booklets. From her grandmother's life in Anamizu on the Noto Peninsula, to her grandfather's in Fukagawa and Sendagaya, to her father's in Iwaki, Fukushima—relying on family registers, old maps, historical buildings, and self-made chronologies, she follows the past gaze directed at the scenery currently before her eyes.

Through over a decade of trial and error, she re-encounters unfamiliar lands and landscapes through the lives of the deceased.
