Mario: "The black of a taxi is the black of night."

A self-published collection of essays by Mario, author of the autobiographical work "Yo no Hito" (Hyakunen Shobo), which was praised by Kazushi Hosaka and Yasuo Machida. From the perspective of a taxi driver cruising through the night in Osaka, Mario describes one-time encounters with people who, though minor, sometimes leave a strong impression, and his feelings of awe and something akin to prayer for the inscrutable workings of the world, all in his unique writing style. The cool and surreal cover design, featuring an unconventional visual image for a literary zine, was done by Fujimura Family.
