Ayaki Obata "One Year"

Ayaki Obata is an illustrator whose diverse work appears in various media, including domestic and international magazines and book covers. In addition to her client work, she continuously creates seasonal illustrations as a personal life's work, which have been compiled into "Seasonal Records" and "Seasonal Records 2". This new zine, "One Year," features all 28 new and previously unreleased illustrations for the 2024 and 2025 calendars, which she produces annually with commune Press. Her works capture the changing seasons and ordinary yet unforgettable scenes from daily life. They evoke a sense of familiarity in everyone, recalling times, landscapes, emotions, and memories experienced and passed through reality and fiction. This full-color collection is presented in a cinematic, landscape-oriented format that conveys a sense of season and background. Limited to 300 copies.
