Morita Tomomi "Minamata Viewed From Here: A Place for Those Who Come Later"

A collection of photographs and essays by a young photographer who, drawn to the memories of Minamata, repeatedly visited the area and eventually moved there. As a resident, she continues to document Minamata. This book compiles over 50 photographs taken in Minamata, along with writings by Michiko Ishimure and others, and her own essays. Although Minamata holds many dark memories, the photographs convey her desire for visitors to find their own comfortable place and for her work to be of some assistance.
