Makiko Minowa "Film"

A deserted town, unchanging scenery, a place once visited. This work depicts ordinary suburban landscapes, residential areas, and scenes one once stood before, from the perspective of a stroll. The recalled scenery, composed of lithography and painting in deep navy, evokes feelings of nostalgia, a touch of loneliness, and affection for the commonplace. It's a "film" for a generation for whom Royal Host and McDonald's serve as shared memories. Published by ELVIS PRESS, the publishing label of ON READING bookstore in Nagoya.
