Henning Schmiedt - "Snow"

Snow falling on a silent, vast snowfield, and the exhilarating memories of an endless white world. "Schnee (Snow)" is a work by Henning Schmiedt, a pianist from former East Germany, who was deeply moved by the presence of snow during his first visit to Japan's Tohoku region. He recalled the snowbound winters of his childhood in Germany's Ore Mountains and expressed the delicate sound of a snowy day. This piano collection carefully intertwines past winters with the present, featuring delicate piano touches and transparent melodies, enriched with diverse electronics and sound processing. It's music like a winter morning, hushed and still. Produced in 2012.
