So-chi object "Pile Up, Pile Up, Piled-Up Books! (with pouch)"

This leather Tsundoku (meaning "to pile up books but not read them") figurine is made by Miyuki Kamoshima of "So-chi," who creates bags and accessories from leather and fabric scraps. The handwritten "Tsundoku" characters, carved and surrounded by stitching, are charming. You can place it on top of a stack of books or use it as a small decorative object to fill an empty space on a bookshelf.
It comes with a mesh pouch, making it a humorous gift for a friend who has a lot of unread books. Also included is an original Kira sticker by Kamoshima.

I create bags and accessories using scraps of leather and fabric.
Upholstery fabrics are often sturdy and durable, making them excellent for bag making.
I combine various scraps, enjoying the color schemes, and diligently work on my creations in between other tasks.
I pour my heart into making things, hoping that my creations can become a "device" that lifts someone's spirits, even if just a little.
While making things for myself is good, nothing makes me happier than seeing my creations become a part of someone's life and enriching it, even a little.
With that in mind, I imagine the person who will use my products through the objects themselves. I believe that's what "monozukuri" (craftsmanship/making things) is all about.
Creating things is a noble act, but it can also be a solitary process.
It's only when someone appreciates and uses my creations that my solitary endeavors are transformed into something fulfilling.
