Yuri Yamada - "Cantabile"

Singing, flowing. "Cantabile" is a re-recording in a concert hall of pianist Yuri Yamada's solo work of the same name, originally released in 2012.

She began playing the piano in her childhood and naturally started composing. Having studied classical music at university, her piano touch is delicate and emotive, and its flowing melodies possess a picturesque beauty that connects and superimposes the scenery before her eyes with the scenery in her heart. From the spatial resonance of the piano sound reminiscent of Debussy at the beginning of the first track, the superb recording and mastering by Gen Tanabe of WATER WATER CAMEL instantly draws the listener into the artist's world.

This beautiful piece also features artwork by artist Ai Kawamura and design by Ai Takemura, who runs a letterpress printing studio in Kochi.
